Fall Flowering Heather adds a touch of Autumn to Your Garden!

Fall flowering Heather, also known as ‘Bud Blooming’ heather, are great perennials to add to your garden. Botanically known as Calluna vulgaris they are a close relative of their winter and spring blooming cousin, Erica. The Calluna types of Heather start blooming in early September and bloom repeatedly through December. Few plants bloom for as long as these little beauties. Calluna can have mauve, pink, or white flowers.

A medium to small plant, Calluna grow to be about 20 to 28 inches tall and about the same in width. Calluna prefer moist, acidic soils and grow well in a fair amount of peat moss.
